Airtel Pays Rs 10,000 Crores in AGR Dues, Vodafone to Pay in the “Next Few Days”

The Department of Telecom (DoT) received its first Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) payment today, with Bharti Airtel paying Rs. 10,000 (around $1.5 billion) crores of its outstanding AGR dues to comply with a recent Supreme Court order. According to IANS, the company paid Rs. 9,500 crore on behalf of Bharti Airtel and Telenor, which has merged with the parent company, and Rs. 500 crore for Bharti Hexacom, its subsidiary. The company further said that it is in the process of ‘self assessment of accounts’ and will duly make the balance payments before the next date of hearing on March 17. The company last week had informed the government that it would deposit Rs. 10,000 crores by February 20 to settle part of its AGR dues that now stand at more than Rs. 35,500 crores (around $5 billion) including the original arrears, interest and penalties. Gmail for iOS Finally Brings Support for Adding Attachments via the Files App

iOS has had a native  File manager  called “Files” for quite some time, but only with iOS 13 did the Cupertino giant really make the Files app any useful for at least some sort of file management on the iPhone. With that in mind, the Gmail app for iOS is now finally bringing support for adding email attachments through the Files app on the iPhone and iPad. Up until now, Gmail supported adding attachments from the camera roll, and via Google Drive, but had left out the Files app from the attachments option. That meant if you needed to attach a  PDF you scanned using Files , or anything saved inside the app, you couldn’t add it as an attachment in Gmail. For me, personally, this meant saving the email as a draft, sending the file via AirDrop to my MacBook and then attaching it into my email on the web. Annoying, yes, but functional. Samsung took the wraps off its  Galaxy S20 flagship series  in San Francisco earlier this week. The Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra come packed with tall 120Hz AMOLED displays, Snapdragon 865 SoC, 5G support, multi-cam setups, and huge batteries. As you must already know, Samsung is launching 4G-only variants of its newest flagship phones, powered by the Exynos 990 chipset, in India and we have today learned about the Galaxy S20 pricing and availability details for India. Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra India Prices Galaxy S20 is priced starting at Rs. 66,999  for the 8GB+128GB base variant. Galaxy S20 Plus is priced starting at Rs. 73,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant whereas the  Galaxy   S20 Ultra starts at a whopping Rs. 92,999  for the 12GB+128GB base variant.
